Ronaldinho is battling legal issues after retirement with a fine imposed on him for illegal construction
Legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho is in trouble over unpaid debt as he has just has £5 in his account.
Ronaldinho and his brother Roberto Assis are facing court trouble for an construction in a protected area and has been deemed illegal.
A report by Spanish media outlet Marca says that Ronaldinho and his brother have been fined a total of £1.75 million as damages.
The report also states that Ronaldinho and his bother o have mortgaged their property they have not been able to clear out the debt as due to high interest.
Ronaldinho retired from professional football earlier in the year, after spending several years with top European powerhouses such as Italian Serie A giants AC Milan and reigning French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The authorities have tried to recover the money from his personal accounts but were shocked to see that he has just a total of £5.24.
At the time of this report, it is unclear what the authorities will do to recover the fine from Ronaldinho.
He has been involved in several adverts and with various organizations and taking up ambassadorial roles upon his retirement.
The 38-year-old old who is known to play a crucial role for Brazil also as they won the 2002 FIFA World Cup and 2007 Copa America.
