Sadio Mane has been rewarded with the PFA Fan's award or his performance in August.
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has emerged the winner of the Professional Football Association (PFA) August Fans’ Player of the Month award.
The 26-year-old has scored four goals in Liverpool’s opening four games against West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City.
Mane has scored in three of the opening games and failed to find the back of the net in just one game.
The Senegal international beat Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero his teammate Benjamin Mendy, Neil Etheridge of Cardiff City, Lucas Moura of Tottenham Hotspur and Roberto Pereyra of Watford.
Mane and his Liverpool side are top of the Premier League with 12 points from four matches before the international break.
Mane is expected to be in action when Senegal take on Madagascar in a 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Sunday, September 9.
His performances in the month of August has also earned him a nomination Premier League Player of the Month award.
While Liverpool returns from the Premier League after the break when they go against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, September 15.
